For today the goal was to evaluate my commitments, but this seemed a little reminiscent of day five’s identifying three to six main priorities. This may not be true of all people, but for me my commitments and my priorities tend to generally be in line – I don’t do things that aren’t important to me. So if you want to read that post, it’s here – because today I did something a little different than the intended challenge. Instead of evaluating my commitments today, I kind of shirked them. Oops.
But I actually think that that’s a healthy thing to do once in awhile. So today, instead of writing an optional paper (key word, optional) for my nutritional anthropology class, I watched Gilmore Girls in bed. And it felt awesome. Last week was incredibly stressful, and this coming week doesn’t seem like it’ll be easy either. So taking today just to myself was a little treat – a calm before the storm.
This philosophy can be summed up by one of my favorite inspirational quotes:
See you tomorrow, once I’ve decided to put on pants and be a real human!
